We have set Summer Camp 2008 for June 20 – 28th at Kia Kima Scout Reservation outside Hardy AR.

They offer a great variety of courses for the new and experienced scout including 9 Eagle required badges. They also have a high adventure camp.

The PLC planned the two upcoming troop meetings, discussed the Family campout and some of October.

The campout went well.

On the 25th the Scouts will need to knot in using a timber hitch and a clove hitch. They need to learn these on their own but we need to guide them at the door. You and David need to decide on the opening game. We will teach lashings for the skill instruction. David is to coordinate each of the PLC learning and teaching (via EDGE) the various lashings. We will discuss and prep for US flag retirement at the family campout and then have an inter-patrol competition to build the tallest lashed together tower.

I hope that Summer is going well for you and you have been enjoying your time off from school. Although we have not been having regular Troop meetings, there has been a lot of activity and planning for the upcoming year is well underway.
