Orienteering Merit Badge

Posted on Jan 20 2009 - 7:26pm

Scouts,

There is an excellent opportunity soon to earn the Orienteering Merit Badge at a Houston Orienteering Club event. Several Scouts from our troop have attended this clinic in the past and really enjoyed it. The morning is spent learning and practicing the basics of orienteering. All the requirements for the merit badge will be covered in this clinic. The afternoon will feature a team competition employing map & compass skills to navigate through a course in the least amount of time. Lunch is included.
