General announcements -

After a wonderful weekend in the woods hiking 7.3 miles in Bastrop State Park we have a couple of announcements.

First the Soaring Eagle District web site is available and is listed at the top of the www.troop479.us header page under "BSA Troop # 479". The link is:

We will be having a shake-down for the backpacking trip this weekend. It is recomended that all scouts who have not backpacked before attend just to make sure they've all packed correctly.

Scouts & Scouters,

The November campout will be held at Bastrop State Park. We will be meeting at the church at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15 and will leave as soon as the Scouts finish packing. Expected return time is early afternoon on Sunday. On the return trip, as usual, we will call parents as we approach the city on Sunday.
